We count our lucky stars that we found James! We had been casually looking at homes in the Charleston, SC area online from our home on Long Island, NY; we wanted an escape from the winters here. He was everything a great Real Estate Agent should be but often isn’t: honest, hard-working, knowledgeable of the area, quick to respond, tenacious, friendly, and most of all, patient. Having never visited the area we had no idea of what the different neighborhoods were like – and in Charleston, there are so many to choose from. James took the time
to get to know us and then guided us to the areas he felt best suited us and our lifestyle and didn’t hesitate to tell us we wouldn’t be happy in some areas where we had seen houses that interested us – too far away from Downtown for a night on the town, not enough nice restaurants or good shopping, too far from golf courses, etc.. The process took several months before we could fly down and look at properties. Some went into contract before we could get there, and when we found one that we both fell in love with he personally went to view it while on his cell phone with us to give us details room by room, taking photos as he went of things not shown on the listing – who does that?! In the end, we went into contract on our house without ever seeing it and it turned out to be absolutely perfect for us. We love it and could not possibly be happier with out choice – which never would have happened had it not been for James going above and beyond for us. He also put us in contact with wonderful resources – an attorney, an insurance agent and even a contractor to make the very minor changes we’d like to make for our fantastic “Dream Home”. Everyone we know was shocked that we bought a home online, sight-unseen other than photos, but we did because James is THAT good. I would highly recommend him to anyone remotely interested in buying a home in the Charleston area; it will be the best choice you’ll ever make!
