The luxury condo market in Charleston is very good considering the historic nature of the city of Charleston. Most cities that have high rise, contemporary luxury condominium real estate are mostly newer more metropolitan cities. Charleston SC has many condos for sale that offer just about anything a prospective buyer might be interested in. Waterfront condos / condos with water views are the obvious choice & most desired, as are oceanfront condos highly sought after, but the area also has smaller more traditional style condos with lower price points for those not looking to spend $1 Million. Most of the higher end condo developments are in Downtown and Mt Pleasant, with a few in Daniel Island Park. What most buyers are unaware of is that condos, villas and townhouses are often times one in the same, really the only difference in the two are mostly legal and nothing to do with the style although traditionally we expect townhomes to be attached side by side and feature some sort of yard, albeit tiny.
