Daniel Island is a nice and quiet island community that offers prospective buyers and residents a safe and fun lifestyle. New construction will continue to grow this popular island community for years to come. On the west end of Daniel Island is Daniel Island Park, considered for now to be the “higher end luxury side” of the island due to it’s proximity to waterfront and riverfront land, the Daniel Island Club (featuring the Island Park Room), and the island’s only private golf courses (Ralston Creek & Beresford Creek). Most homes in Daniel Island Park are custom craftsman style with very well appointed finishes done by some of the area’s most respected custom home builders. Daniel Island park is home to the island’s premier pools, tennis courts, and stunning luxury real estate situated in and around the two golf courses, ponds, and creeks. On the South side of the island are 8 “Park” sections of the island, named for the 8 different parks. There really aren’t formal subdivisions as you would find with most suburban communities in the United States, interestingly these “neighborhoods” are named for their proximity to the closest park. So if you want to live near a specific park then you’ll need to search by the name of the street(s) closest to that particular Park. On the other side of the “downtown” side of Daniel Island is “The Park”, or better known as Daniel Island Park, or the luxury “Club” side of the island.
Center Park, Barfield Park, Smythe Park, Pierce Park, Codner’s Ferry Park, Cochran Park, Etiwan Park, and soon to be Edgefield Park which most of are just different sections of Daniel Island real estate. This side of the island is where most of reasonably priced homes will be located. Closest to the schools (and the parks in which kids play) on Daniel Island, these neighborhoods would likely be the best option for those with children as the convenience of dropping them off and picking them up would appeal to parents.
